Solid Edge ST5 export options

Hi,

I am working on a combined surface/solid model in Solid Edge to FEA composites and metal parts. I come to a dead end when trying to export copied surfaces from Solid Edge to Strand 7. Solid .STEP export only export the faces of solids but does not detect overlaid surfaces (copied surfaces in the part from the surfacing tab). I need the .STEP export to get my groups detected in Strand 7 environment. I manage to transfer surfaces once they have been toggled to designed body in the part environment. However, this looses all assembly associations by nature. Does anyone has an idea on how to get only surfaces transferred across in the assembly environment?

Make sure the "Export sheets (constructions)" option is checked when you save the STP file from Solid Edge.
