Has anyone created a JT file of a SE assembly. I have tried creating a JT file of a part without issues but have had not success with assemblies. The file generates without errors but when I open the file there are no parts.

I've tried it on the following systems with all the same results:

XP Pro 32bit & SE ST
XP Pro 64bit & SE ST
Windows 7 64bit & SE ST2

Anyboy seen this issue and have a solution?

When opening, did you select an assembly template?

I just tried this on V20 and it worked OK, although I have had problems on very large assemblies in the past.
I used the 'Single JT file' option.

I've tried different assembly templates and still no data.

Can you give me a little more detail on this? Is this part of the optionsmenu of the export/import JT menus?

Beachcomber,
I've tried all 3 options here without any luck.

New development. I tried a file supplied to me from another vendor and still no luck with the import of the file. So I think I might be generating them correctly but have issues importing them.

Figured out the issue this morning.

I sent the JT file I was creating to a colleague to see if the issue was the file creation or the importing and she had no issues opening the file. We compared our export and import settings and the where identical.

So we continued comparing other settings. The only setting that was different was in \Solidedge options\File locations\User templates\ I had mine pointing to the a server location and she had them still set as the default location. I highly doubted that this would cause any issue as I was selecting the iso assembly template in the General tab of the base Solidedge, but this is what was causing the issue. Reverting my computer to the default location for the templates made the import of JT files possible.

I will need to investigate this further in the future but for now it works. Thank you for the help.
