Hello

in the last version of NX Nastran they added a new feature for bold preload. Currently I use to calculate bold connections beams with a spider element. Why not using this new one. (excepting calculation time) So doing a short example...because in internet i didnt found anything about it.

So in my first try i used a solid beam (rectangle) fixed on both side. Created Bolt Region using solid set nodes on a plane in middle of beam. And in Bolt options set Axes to Beam Axis (direction of preload).

I used 22. advanced NL Static as analysis set. Thought that should work as simple example. Solution should be something like S=F/A

some here already worked with this?

thx :)
