hi my dear freinds
i want to see crack in solid65 element and describe a tbdata like this :
TBDATA,1,0.25,0.25,0.1E6,7E6
IS it correct?
i mean that do i describe tensile strenght like this?
strenght of my concrete material is 0.1Mpa.

thanks

Sorry, but could not get what are you asking for. What those numbers in TBDATA indicate?

Because, first you have to define a material model you will use by TB command. And, it depends on that model, what the TBDATA values will be interpreted as.

hi
thanks for your response
as you know people usually use solid65 element for concrete then because of it i didn't say any thing but befor TBDATA command i wrote:
TB,CONCR,1
TBDATA,1,0.25,0.25,0.1E6,7E6

Constant Meaning
c1Shear transfer coefficients for an open crack.
c2Shear transfer coefficients for a closed crack.
c3Uniaxial tensile cracking stress.
c4Uniaxial crushing stress (positive).

and what is Shear transfer coefficient?

It looks like your tensile strength is correct. The Shear transfer coefficients are values used to decrease the amount of shear transfer after cracking as compared to a solid, uncracked material. I think in general the closed cracking should be greater than open to simulate real life behavior. I ususally use a closed value of 1 (no loss of shear transfer). If you are positive that the concrete will crack because of tension and there are no large compressive forces, you can turn off the crushing capabilities by putting -1. Its suppose to help the solution converge.
