Soldier Pile Walls Walers Requirement

What are the requirements/regulations for the walers in soldier pile walls? Specifically I'm interested in the vertical distance between walers requirements. Wood lagging is used for these walls.

Depends on the lateral deflection you can tolerate without being sued by your neighbor considering all the structural design parameters used to design the shoring system.
