Hi,
I am searching for some case histories regarding the use of the following improvement methods in dam foundation anywhere in the world:
1- Dynamic Compaction
2- Dynamic Replacement
3- Deep Soil Mixing (as cutoff element- preferably not as a rehabilitation / remediation case)
4- Preloading (simultaneously using PVD)
5- Vibro compaction/replacement
6- Jet Grouting (both as improving the soil geotechnical parameters and as cutoff element)
7- Soil Nailing (both in the reservoir region and for any reason in the dam body region)

Regards

Jet grouting ( cut-off):
Thika Dam in Kenya

All these references were for new construction, not rehabilitation projects

Jet Grouting;
Wickiup Dam, Oregon, USA - seismic retrofit of existing dam.

Vibro Replacement (stone columns);
