I'm using the dead load of a soil cone that would have to be displaced by a helical pier (soil auger) in order for it to be pulled out. I have reduced my net uplift by 60% of the dead load per ASD load combinations.
My question is, do I also have to account for the 1.5 overturning F.S., or does the 60% reduction of the DL take care of everything.
