Hello
Has anyone ever come accross software that would help in straightening shafts. Specifically, that would let me take shaft runouts every xx inches at XX degrees of rotation. Then draw the rotor (in 3D that I can rotate) with the current shape exagerated against a true rotor.
I routinely have to straighten a 25 foot long rotor where I can only take readings at 120 degree intervals that has multiple twisting bends.
I suspect any of the 3D modeling packages could do this but the company is not likely to buy SolidWorks or the like just for this project...
Thanks for any information.
