HI all,

I was wondering what kind of software people are using to do connections sketches. I pretty much do mine by hand (at a certain scale), but was wondering if there were any good softwares out there doing them. I also have Descon, but am not satisfied with the printing of the sketches. They always seem so small on the 8x11 sheet! So I end up re-doing them by hand....
Anyhow, Thanks for any feedback people can give me on this.

I find that HB smudges a lot, I like 2H. Don't have to sharpen as often, either.

We use AutoCAD for our connection sketches. Or rolling our pencil and straight edge like some of the others. In our firm all our engineers are required to detail their own connections sketches. Developing the sketches can be a first difficult step. Interferences, copes, net reduction of members, skews, slopes, intersection connections, are all identified through the initial layouts.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who still does connections sketches by hand, still. ;)
