I am looking for software to calculate strain, stress, forces to be applied to welds, bonds etc. I don't know if this software is available at all, but you'll never know. I need this information, because my school (technical university in Holland), wanted me to do a little research on this.
Any suggestion is welcome.

There is a program called FEWeld available from Weaver Engineering. I have not used it, but it seems to do what you are describing. It appears to be an add-in for Ansys or Cosmos/M. Their web address is . Good luck.
