SO2 Removal

Does anybody have expierence with using some sort of dry absorbant without adding a removal system.

I am intrested in just knocking out some of the SO2 without a lot of capital money.

I can imagine problems with the dry ESP's if the injection rates are too large, so I do not know if the actual injection rates would be economically feasible for the savings in SO2 credit costs.
