Judging from the voltage your application seems to be in the high power range. So I'm afraid nbucska's link won't be very helpful.
Usually the the drives rectifier includes some kind of snubbers and other means of overvoltage protection to protect its own semiconductors. This is usually sufficient to protect other parts of the system as well. If you are asking for an additional snubber to protect the motor there must be a special reason. Please explain your concern more exactly and supply more information, e.g. current rating.
