SMARTEAM ISSUES

We recently started using smarteam with CATIA. Along with the normal errors and such for checking in files, the system slows catia down alot. I checked a model into smarteam and when I check it out, it takes 40 minutes. If I open the same assy from my computer, it takes only 90 seconds. Anybody know what could cause this? The task manager shows that only about 15~40% of the cpu is being used during this opening process. Also, checking in takes forever.

If its the guys at Ford, somehow they have a way of slowing things down to the point where it becomes a snails pace. By the time they perfect teamcenter it'll be like hitting your head on against the wall.
