I have inserted SHCS using smart fasteners feature. Now I want to flip the fasteners, i.e the head of the fastener should be on the other side of the joint. So I went to help and found the following procedure:
-----------------
To flip Smart Fasteners:

- Expand the fastener in the Smart Fasteners PropertyManager.
- Right-click the Series you want to flip and select Flip.

The heads of the fasteners in the selected series flip to the other side of the joint.
------------------
I right clicked on Series but there was no "flip" in the pop-up menu. What could be the problem. Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I am using SW2001Plus. I am not sure what should I do.

Right click on the Smart Fastener in the Feature Tree and select `Edit Smart Fastener'. When the Smart Fastener property manager appears, expand the entries until you see the [-]Series item under the fastener. Right click there, and you will finally find the `Flip' option.
-----
Another way to go about it is to expand the Smart Fastener in the Feature Tree, to show the screw and then the [-]Mates folder with that. Right click on each of the mates, and choose edit feature. Then you can toggle the mate alignment to effectively flip the fastener the other way round. (you will get a rebuild error about overdefined mates until you edit them both to be the same)
You might also need to edit which edge the coincident mate attaches to.
