Does anyone have any information on how to properly size a core trench on a small dam?

Use trial flow nets at various depths of core trench to obtain desired results of minimum flows. Use the thickness from excavator bucket dimension available. Specify super plasticizer for a high slump and limit the open trench length to what can be concreted in one day,(with temporary vertical bulkheads as limit of placement). Combine core trench with aggregate drain layer on backside of embankment with collection pipes.
