We suggested TiCN or Sic/Al2O3 as well but customer went with safest course. WC Rings were about 6” across as well as thin and flat so controlling thermal stress during brazing was an issue. Last I heard they ran about 6 months compared to three weeks for previous material. Thomas J. Walz Carbide Processors, Inc. http://www.carbideprocessors.com Upvote 0 Downvote

The toughened zirconia grades are not as hard, but they are very tough and this often allows them to resist wear. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Rust never sleeps Neither should your protection http://www.trent-tube.com/contact/Tech_Assist.cfm Upvote 0 Downvote
