Dear all
Could you please help me for sample selection of charpy and CTOD test in welded structure. How do I select sample for CTOD or charpy. Observing microstructure of HAZ or Hardness where we find some abnormality we will take sample from there. or there is some standard for different steel welds to select the region of CTOD-like after 1mm from fusion line towords the HAZ or 2 mm or 3mm according to grade and thichness of steel.
