We're currently configuring our systems to upgrade from NX8 to NX12, and there a few things we've struggled with before that we're wondering if NX12 may be able to help with.
We have the need to machine a curve into a product. This curve generally tangents off the end of a straight fixed line, and can be any value dependent on site needs. The issue is that curve can tangent off the straight in either direction (i.e. positive or negative), but we can't find a way to be able to "reverse the direction" of the curve. We can have two curves in place, one in each direction which can then be set to any value, but changing the choice of curve affects all our tooling and machining selection operations further down the line.
Is there a way of having a single curve which can be "reversed" to tangent off the alternative side of a line?
Thanks.
