Sketching Geometric Centerline Ghosted

Has anyone had an issue with the centerline tool being Ghosted when sketching in ProE 5.0? When I am creating a sketch, and want to make the geometry symmetrical, it does not allow me to draw a centerline. The only way to complete the sketch is to fully dimension both sides...very frustrating. I have looked through the config settings, and have not been able to solve the problem.
