I have an application that requires 1000 SCFH at 20 psi.
Can anyone help me size an air receiver that would handle an event that would last 45 min. The tank can only be charged to 100 psi.

Does anyone know of a software progragm that could calculate this using other values.

Thanks in advance.

A rough and ready way to solve the problem is to calculate the free air equivalent and nozzle discharge rate at a step reduction in pressure. Do this on a spread sheet. Then copy the formulae down with decreasing pressures until you get the answer you want.
You should be able to prepare the spreadsheet in a day. I guess there are software packages available for about $5000 to do this.
