Simulated PWHT

What do we mean by Simulated PWHT and where we will be able to find an literature regarding Simulated PWHT. I would like to know this because presently Iam handling an HIC tested plates in which the project specification states that the mechanical tests are to be done after simulated PWHT.

often times hold time for two (2) pwht cycles to cover a repair

'Simulated' is probably a poorly chosen word. The test is a simulation, but the PWHT is very real!
