Hi Guys!

I have a challenge to find a differences between two disciplines - Simplified FMEA and MTA (Ivara Enterprise).

MTA looks like simplified RCM, but Simplified form of FMEA I have never seen. My boss wants me to present the subject.

MTA was implemented in our company for developing maintenance strategies for the equipment (Paper Production Plant). It has several steps of FMEA, like an "item", "failure cause", "consequence of failure" and "recommended action".

Does somebody understand these two disciplines and can tell the differences?

I would be greatly thankful for help.
