I'm looking for acceptable mounting configurations for signal lights and video detection cameras. I've seen designers hang conduit from the deckwhile others penetrate the exterior girder webs. Though I prefer the later for obvious aesthetic reasons, I would like input on the two options, and how I might accomplish them. What would be recommended if I were to drill thru the girders? I realize field drilled holes thru webs isn't good practice, but can they be made to work? Does anyone have any experience with this type of mounting? Has anything worked in the past?
