I've designed a plastic pump in SolidWorks, but was wondering if there are any add-on packages that deal with material shrinkages? I'm aware of MoldFlow from a fluid dynamic standpoint of the fluid (resin) inside the mold, but I don't think it would deform your model according to sprinkages during the cooling phase.

Any ideas?

I should point out that the scaling it, as SolidWorks suggests, is bogus. In the real world, parts don't shrink uniformly if you have variable cross-sections.

We design plastic and metal casting parts for our products. But we don't have any injection molding machine or casting process.

For these parts we design them as we need them to be after production process. We "don't care" about shrinkage or any other problems like that (of course that's not really true as the design considers these factors).

Then we give this design to an injection molding company or casting company tha will design the tools and process in order to respect our design after process. These are the guys that have to watch out for the shrinkage, and they have tools to predict them. One of the tools used is Moldflow.
