Shore Hardness of Zytel and Delrin 1

Anyone out there familiar with the typical Shore Hardnesses and scales for the above stated materials. They will be used as inserts for Extrusion Dies.

While the DuPont site will provide definitive information, they also list so many grades that it may be somewhat overwhelming. If you want an estimate, try these:

Delrin homopolymer, unreinforced: 86 Shore D

Zytel 101, unreinforced: 89 Shore D

Alan,

Dupont only has preliminary data for these grades on their Internet site, which does not include Shore hardness. You will need to contact them directly. Good luck.
