Hi everybody,
I have used the shell 93 elements with trans 126 elements for the electrostatic analysis of MEMS structure in ANSYS 12.It worked perfectly fine and I obtained the results. However, now i have ANSYS 13 with shell 281 elements and trans 126 for electrostatic analysis and trouble has started.First, please tell me how can i specify the thickness to the shell 281, as it doesn,t supports real constants. Second, when i generate the transducer elements 126 and try to apply the boundary conditions, then instead of the specific part for which I am interested whole structure is selected, please let me know if you have any idea?

You will need to define the shell using the SEC#### (SECDATA etc) series of commands, as real constants are not supported beyond 12. Check your selection code for the other problem.
