Hello

Is creating a model like the one attached to this post beyond the limitations of sheet metal when it comes to either unbending the part, or creating a flat solid?

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards

Not at all. The part is not complex.

The "sheet metal" is designed for only press brake parts.

If you only had 1/4 of that part it could do it - Then mirror the flat pattern a couple times to get the theoretical flat pattern.

Simon,

This is probably very much considered either cheating or a compromise that is less than ideal, but it gets you a result.
