How can we create shear spring which has only one degree of freedom (along shear direction) in ABAQUS explicit? Spring 1 and 2 is for Abaqus standard and SpringA is for ABAQUS explicit but its axial spring.

There are no such springs so you need a different way. Maybe connector elements. But it depends on what exactly you want to model.

Thanks! I am trying to model a connection between two panels. Two panels are connected using shear connector (scissor like). What connector will closely replicate this behavior? I am thinking of something that has only one degree of freedom i.e. in shear direction.

Can you share a simple sketch or a photo showing this kind of mechanism ? I’m pretty sure it could be modeled with properly oriented regular connectors.

I hope this will make clearer.
