Hi everyone,
I am trying to calculate E, G and Poisson moduli along three main axis for a composite layered element in FEA. I am applying displacements so then calculating moduli from the reaction forces.
My question comes, when I want to calculate G, if I apply a shear displacement in one surface, that is not what really happens in the real case I have. I mean, the nodes on that surface must not displace the same amount, cause that does not occur in reality.
Maybe it is a very basic question but I am new in FEA, so I wonder if some of you could help me. By the way, I am using Ansys 14.
Thank you so much
