I have often seen postings where people want to share various documents but don't have an "acceptable" way to do this. I've got 500 MB of space at my website (link below) and am using only about 25 MB. If you have an "important" paper that you want to post, I'll see what I can do. You can contact me thru the email at the link.

PS: Don't get me in copyright (or similar) trouble! :)

SRE - you were going, if I remember, to tell us how to set up a web site - waiting for your daughter if I remember correctly? Any information. I'll contact you later about some posts. . . . and thanks.
[cheers]

Ok, BigH, have put the free website info that my step-daughter taught me back up on my page, for a while. Look under Miscellaneous. It is in .pdf format this time (links on it are not active), had some problems with it as a .doc

SlideRuleEra:

Thanks, I checked it out and you have some very interesting info. - a good start to an "on-line library"! I'm looking forward to following it along.

SRE - will check it out in a couple of days - client in town right now. Thanks. Howard

BigH - The CBR correlation charts that you sent are posted on the website. Will let you know in a month or so how "popular" they are.

JAE - The Macomber V-Beam information, that has been online for just over a month, has over 260 "hits" to date.

SlideRuleEra - if okay, I will make a note of it on a thread since this is from where most of the requests come. Now that my lightweight fill presentation is over, I'll have some time and try to set up a site myself. Best regards.

SlideRuleEra - there's no "blue line" on the charts - so can't hit on them!
[cheers]

[blush] x 3: That was the heading!

I have been industrious today - added several interesting documents on timber piling to the AWPI page on my web site.

Of special note is the "Laterally Unsupported Timber Pile Study". Seems like my printed edition (.pdf file created by scanning it's pages) may be the sole surviving copy. Last month, discovered this:

In 2001, the AWPI was contacted by an engineer who had a few pages and wanted to find the remainder. To make a long story short - no originals or copies could be located, anywhere.

Sounds like an old study of the Burnaby Lake Peats in British Columbia. I've the report; doubt anyone else has. Company's have a tendency to toss. I had a book on timber piles called, I believe, Pile Know How. It was pretty good - talked a lot about piles in New Orleans area. Its in deep storage so can't access. Will look into your site - thanks.
[cheers]
