I must cut my project to my variable speed pump for some odd reason. The BLDC is appropriate for my purpose as water in an open loop circulating pump must overcome a very high initial head and throttle back to very low speeds. It makes little sense to use an A/C motor. This operation is something that I would think to be common for pump motors;
however, there are no 56J DC motors. There are plenty of 56C DC motors. Why not? Shaft adapters are like $150. That puts the project cost outside of the acceptable range.
Am i missing something? Any insight is appreciated. I'm about to cut the rope on this project.
