Does anyone know how to automatically edit the top level product's properties programatically? (Specifically the Part Number and Rev attributes). I would like to do this in batch mode and set the part number and rev based on "fields" in the CATPart model name.

Setting properties of V5 Part in Batch Mode

You can do this to a folder by selecting a part within the folder and then get it's parent folder.
You have to use this workaround because you cannot just select the folder thru script.
I've used this method to set the manufactuer of details in a catalog.
