Can someone enlighten me on the Sequestration process. I am not in the water industry and have come across this terminology in some remediation documents I am reviewing. Thanks

In short, Sequestering agents (polyphosphates, orthophosphates, etc.) are chemicals added to the water in order to bind with problem metals in keep them in suspension.

I have used them with limited success for iron and manganese control.
