Self supporting pole foundation

I try to design a self supporting pole foundation. The pole is 34m in length and an ultimate load at tip of 80kN,. the way i understand it, the very large moment it will create will be carried by the baseplate.. Will the pedestal be critical to that very large moment as well??? im new to this, so i need your opinion.. thank you
 
That's just a matter of properly sizing the moment transfer at the base in all intervening elements. Since the large moment will oblige to correspondingly strong concrete elements, it shouldn't be a problem per se.

Hence once you have a proper base, the main problem will be proper transfer of the moment to the foundation (or pedestal), rather than sizing. Of course, then you will need a competent foundation to reduce tilt to the wanted standard.
 
Surely wind load is a consideration, and with a free standing pole that high, you might get vortex shedding. If you go to a transmission pole specialist they could provide the most cost effect solution and your foundation loads. Valmont is a good example, they have standard input sheets but they are for transmission lines poles, yours would be a simpler problem.
