Select objects

W10 - x64
I'm doing a drawing. After saving, when I open it, can't select any objects. It just draws a rectangle on screen.
If I do a trick say drawing a line > MIRROR > SELECT ENTITIES then the select feature apparently "reenables" itself.
Never had this kind of problem in other machines.
Any idea?

See if this works.

Properties Manager - Selection Set icon (looks like multiple arrows) next to the Drop down box.
