Hi all,

Really simple question here I'm sure, but when you section a view you have the option to choose parts which are not to be sectioned (mainly screws). I do this quite a lot but it would would seem that on occassions i 'miss' some of the screw, is there a way once the section has been preformed to go back and choose which parts not to section or do i have to do a completely new section?

Thanks in advance

James

Use Edit -> View -> Section in view to edit the section status of components.

If you never want to section a certain component (such as fasteners), go into the part file and add a part attribute of type 'string'.
Title: SECTION-COMPONENT
Value: NO

This attribute will be inherited by the component in assembly files and NX will know not to section that component. Now you won't have to remember to turn them off in the section view.
