Section View Issue

I am making section views of an assembly, and am getting a "Unable to subtract solids for sectioning" error. What could the issue be? Also, when messing around with various things, I managed to get it to display the cross section, but the entire boundary was covered in cross hatch. Any suggestions?

Make sure that the 'section' line isn't tangent to a cylindrical face, like a shaft or hole.
