Section I, ASME BPVC, 1965 Edition

Does any know the main difference between current editions and 1965 ed for ASME BPVC code, Section I. What my concenrs are the header thickness calculation for SA-106 material, including the formula, allowable stress, ligament eff., etc.

It supposed the older code having a lower MAS, but the stress table attached to Sec 8 in 1965 said no. Does anyone know why? How about Sec 1 in 1965?
