I'm having an issue with a small spool valve that dispenses everything great EXCEPT RTV Silicone. The silicone eventually works its way past the upper double lip shaft seal and causes binding of the valve. I've spoken with Dow and they recommend purging all RTV dispensing equipment immediately after ending the process with Dow OS-30 or the like, but those using the valve are not always willing to put up with such a process. Any tips on a reciprocating shaft sealing system for RTV silicone? I can provide greater detail if necessary.

Mike,

My handle is acp.I understood your problem.I have some experience on ball valves and other types. In my opinion what you will be required is some sort of sealing arrangement used in actuators. If you could provide me more details, like sizes etc. and most important operating parameters. i.e media ,pressure, temperature etc.

regards.
