I am looking for a 10 micron filter for sea water. It is a low flow application, with only intermittant use (~1 gpm; 15 minutes continuous max, perhaps several times a day)

There may be a 2500 psi differential across the filter (depending on depth), and I am going to use a control valve with a small orifice for flow control. We will be flowing into a small tank, and pumping out thuough the same orifice, so it will be self cleaning.

Any ideas on where to look for such a filter?

I suggest you research Reverse Osmosis plants, normally associated with the production of fresh water from sea water. Some operate at the sort of pressures you are considering.

As many reverse osmosis plants use microfiltration techniques, a method of cleaning the filter will be necessary. This is often a combination of backfluesh plus chemical cleaning.

As you mention 'depth' I wonder if submarines might have something similar.
