script for reorder product structure in ascending order

Hi all,

Can any one please write me a script to reorder the parts inside the product in ascending order.The parts are represented with alphabets and number for ex: 5abc000123-456
I tried a lot but i was not successful. This i am planning to apply for so many assemblies. Therefore script would be better.Any other better idea from anyone please suggest
