How can I save a copy of an assembly and give all the assembly members a new name by auto generating a numbering sequence?

I can't simply add a suffix because in my case, the imported assembly has too long of file names and can not make them any longer.

Any advice?

"a new name by auto generating a numbering sequence" I have worked with many imported assemblies but have not found a way to auto gen a number sequence with conventional Creo and Windchill tools.
This might be a Pro/Toolkit task or I also found this list of add-on & third party software here Pro/ENGINEER Third-Party Tools & Add-Ons

Solutions for PTC Creo? (Pro/ENGINEER®)

Best of luck to you on your journey.
