Hi guys.
Attached is a simple part that has a rectangular extruded boss on it. How do I go about saving the boss as a separate entity?
I am using 2012 sp1. When I made the part I unchecked Merge hoping it would do the trick but no luck. I've searched the web for a day and all the results come up with saving a single extrusion.
Thanks in advance for your help again guys.

Hi !
As far as I know this can't be done.
An approach can be to remove (extrude-cut) whatever you don't need in order to keep only the extruded part.

May I ask why you don't design a new part that contain only the extrude-boss feature ?

I have a pretty complicated assembly and was trying to add a filler piece between three pieces. I thought I could extrude to faces and save as a separate piece. Would have been much easier. I did finally make a separate part and included it in my ass'y.

Thanks for the reply.
