Forged ordered according to ASTM A105 and ASTM A350.
I have to establish if it is sufficient the sampling for mechanical testing taken from one separate forged test blanks valid for Blind and Welding neck flanges 32" – 300 lb (normalised) or are necessary two different test blanks.
The doubt is if the 32" size Blind Flange and 32" Welding Neck flange 300lb have the same hot working and reduction as to consent to take sampling for mech. test. from unique test blank.

In case are necessary two test Blanks where is clearly indicated on ASTM standards?

If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if you need to have separate test specimens for two different types of flanges?

The answer is no. The forgings that are supplied under ASTM A350 or A 105 that will be machined and certified to ANSI B16.47 require mechanical testing using either prolongation specimens from the forging (if it is greater than 10,000 lbs weight) OR from forged test blanks that are from the same heat of material, forged in a similar manner and are heat treated in accordance with the requirements in A 350 or A 105.

For A 105, you have two options - forged test blanks or testing of actual production forgings. In any case, all testing is for each heat of material. Forged test blanks must be heat treated with the production forgings for the same heat of material.
