I wonder what is the salary of an electrical engineer with three years of experience (in Dallas,TX) in lighting and power.

It's been my experience that salary.com is a complete waste. They base their numbers on cost of living in an area and not any actual data on wages in that area. The result is grossly inaccurate numbers

Glassdoor.com seems to provide reasonable figures by company and sector, though not necessarily by city.

Have you already reviewed the numerous "whats the salary for..." posts here? Lots of good links and tips.

I don't know about Texas, but the provincial engineering associations in Canada typically complete salary surveys of their membership every 1-2 years. Have you checked with the local association?

It's usually between what are you willing to work for and what the company is willing to pay.

Best way to find out is interview and hope to get an offer....
