S-lay pipeline installation

Hi there,

Is here anyone who knows free tool that helps to calculate pipeline tension during s-lay pipeline installation?
I developed quite easy tool for that purpose but want to check the results with other solutions.

For a start, you may want to review "Tubular Steel Structure- Theory and Design" written by Troitsky and published by The James F. Lincoln and Welding Foundation. In my 2nd edition of this book, chapter 11 deals with underwater pipelines incorporating many sketches of pipes being laid out in straight line but not S-line from reel barges. This chapter also introduces a fair amount of extensive analysis based on different circumstances.
