i am making a water proof box. in which i have used hinge.
i want to check whether the cover of the box rotates with
respect to the hinge or it fouls some where. how to rotate
a component in assembly mode? please help.............

when you assemble/edit definition component in assembly, beside placement there is tab called "move"..select motion type: rotate, motion reference and select axis of rotation...then drag component..

other way (If you got mechanism) is to define mechanism connection..that will detect collition between part

You can define a pin connection between the box and cover.
You do not need the mechanism module to use a pin joint.

See this video for reference:

After you define this connection, under tools->assembly
settings->collision detection settings, you can set the
option to highlight interfering volumes.
