I have a situation where I need to use Rotary Lobe pumps for a municipal secondary scum pump application. I am interested in hearing the personal experience of forum members on using rotary lobe for secondary scum.

Thanks in advance

Are you from the US? I know that the Colorado Springs municipality use them (or at least used them some years ago). I don't remember if they were satisfied as that wasn't my business but if you can find a contact there give them a call.

Thanks. Yes I am from US. Actually we are being forced to consider Rotary Lobes. I will contact the Colorado springs. Do you remember the name of the plant?

No, sorry - I don't. I remember that I drove nearly 2 hours from Denver and that the site was east of Colorado Springs but I guess that doesn't help a lot.

I currently work within the Water and Waste Industry in the UK, we are currently going through a resurgence of using Rotary Lobe Pumps especialy on scum / sludge applications, mainly where there is a medium head lift (between 2 & 6 metres) and a small footprint.
