Hi experts

I recently graduated and got a job in fertilizer company as a process engineer. The company had already installed a 11m rotary dryer as part of a fertilizer granulation line without any prior research and plant design. The problem now is that the granulated gypsum feed to the dryer is always coming out in powder form. The granulation method is the roller compaction technique and most of the granules have sharp edges.

At what temperature can gypsum be rotary dried in a long dryer without breaking? Are granules from a roller compactor suitable for rotary drying?
Thank you for your help...
