Roller Chain Driving and Being Driven by Sprockets in Assembly

I am trying to create an assembly model, in which as a reversible motor turns, a roller chain sprocket that is mounted to its shaft is turned; which engages and moves a roller chain along; which engages and turns other roller chain sprockets, each of which is attached to the end of an ACME threaded rod. A plate with threaded holes, into which each of the rods is threaded, is raised and lowered as the rods turn. I know how to make the sprockets turn by using the belt/chain command, but it does not cause the belt or chain to appear to move. I have or can create the part and assembly models, but I have not figured out how to create the illusion that the chain assembly is moving with the turning of the sprockets. As for creating the illusion that the plate is raising and lowering as the rods turn; I haven't even tried that yet, but expect that I will need help with it too.
Could any of you please suggest some source(s) where I might find the how-to information that I need?

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Gary Skinner

Hello Gary,

It's been a while since you have written this. I hope you have overcome the problem and your memories are still fresh ! I've got a similar problem. I am trying to make a physical animation of a chain sprocket couple, but I can't make it work without scattering its pieces around. Is there any other way of doing such a multi-counterpart simulation ?? (the chain itself contains no less then 2000 simulation contacts alone) Thanks in advance..
